About Obsidian
Obsidian arrived at our Adirondack Region Cat Adoption Center in Glens Falls, NY after being trapped as a friendly stray. He’s a sleek, all-black youngster with a gentle, wary heart. At first, Obsidian tends to hang back, quietly observing and weighing his surroundings. He’s still figuring out that people can offer safety and kindness, so a slow, quiet approach helps him feel at ease. As trust builds at his pace, Obsidian starts to reveal a soft, affectionate side—leaning into gentle, reassuring interactions. He’s at his best in calm, low-stress spaces, where routines don’t shift quickly and patience is abundant. For Obsidian, a home with people who understand the value of slow trust is key. Given time and care, he’s ready to become one of those quietly loyal cats who gives back as much as he gets. Cats born on May 26th fall under Gemini—the sign known for curiosity and adaptability.
