About Tyson
Tyson, also known as Big Poopa, has been through quite a lot for a young pup. After three rectal prolapse incidents and a recent coloplexy, he’s been making impressive strides in his foster home in New York’s Hudson Valley. He’s living with both cats and dogs thanks to a diligent foster who’s put in the work around crate training and structure. Tyson is about nine months old, clever, affectionate, and playful—he gets along well with other dogs but would be fine as an only pet too. If a home has cats, they’ll need to be comfortable with him since Tyson finds them interesting and might chase if unsupervised. Tyson thrives on routine and needs a home that’s prepared for multiple potty breaks each day while his GI system finishes recovering. He’s already seen big improvements with a prescription diet, but ongoing attention to his health will matter. He’s medium-sized, around 38 pounds, and fits right into the “pocket pittie” category with a short red and white coat. Tyson can be adopted by anyone within reasonable distance (even out of state), as long as you’re ready to keep up his care and training. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
