Yoshi
AvailableYoshi is a 6-year-old, neutered male small mixed-breed Maltese/Bichon Frise with a white and cream coat. He lives in Bellingham, WA. He’s up to date on vaccinations and needs a calm, single-adult home due to his anxiety and behavioral needs.
About Yoshi
Yoshi isn’t living at Happy Tails Happy Homes—his current owner, a touring musician, can’t provide the steady routine he needs, so we’re looking for an adopter who can offer him a truly quiet, consistent life. Yoshi is a 6-year-old Maltese-Bichon with a flair for self-entertainment: he tosses his own ball, spins into a donut curl when he’s happy, and will soak up the sun whenever given the chance. He loves movie nights and is a charming companion—if life is calm and there’s just one trusted adult around, he relaxes into snuggles and play. However, Yoshi is sensitive and struggles with anxiety, reactivity, and resource guarding. He’s not suited for households with kids or lots of visitors, and he needs someone with patience (or experience) for behavior quirks. He does best as an only pet with a simple, predictable routine. Health-wise, his hip dysplasia is managed with supplements and his sensitive stomach means he’s only on glucosamine at the moment. He’s not the easiest fit, but once bonded, this small dog gives everything: loyalty, laughter, and affection. If you’re seeking a funny, deeply devoted companion—and can meet his very specific needs—Yoshi is ready for his next chapter. He was born under the sign of Virgo, so you can expect an attention to routine and comfort, at least in his own dog way. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
