About Artemis Urgent
Artemis Fowl is a 5-month-old Lab and Cattle Dog mix who came into the shelter with an upper respiratory infection and needs a quiet, safe home where he can recover. He’s spent weeks in an overcrowded Bakersfield shelter without outdoor runs, sharing space with hundreds of other dogs at high risk due to sheer numbers. Artemis is just a puppy—still unaltered, not yet house trained, and facing too much chaos for a dog his age or health status. His short, bicolor black and cream coat is easy to care for and he’s current on his vaccinations. Despite his current situation, Artemis has the spirited temperament of both Labs and Cattle Dogs—smart, eager to bond, and craving someone to give him a shot at normal puppy life. Artemis needs attention, routine, and a safe space to heal, ideally away from other large groups of animals. Anyone on the West Coast can adopt, but West Coast transport comes at a fee. Fosters must live in Kern County. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
