About Bean Urgent

Bean needs a safe, calm place to recover—he’s battling an upper respiratory infection and shouldn’t have to do it in a crowded shelter. At just over 2 years old, this Border Collie has spent far too long waiting for a real home. Bean is housed at Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield, where the shelter is packed, noisy, and tough, with no outside runs and hundreds of dogs competing for space and attention. Bean hasn’t been house trained yet. He needs someone patient who can help him feel secure while he heals. His medium-length coat features unique tricolor markings, making him stand out in a crowd. If given the chance, Bean could turn into an incredible, loyal family member—a typical Border Collie with all the smarts and personality that come with the breed. Give this dog a chance to get out of a stressful environment and into a home where he can recover and decompress. Click apply to start the adoption process.
