About Dixie

Dixie is an outgoing Boston Terrier, about 4.5 years old and weighing around 20 pounds. Her easygoing, affectionate personality makes her a loyal companion both on the go and relaxing at home. She’s happiest when she’s with her people—playing in the yard, showing off her toys, or buried under blankets on the couch. Dixie is especially fond of cuddling and will never say no to a cozy nap snuggled at your side. She’s friendly with everyone and gets along with other dogs, but she is also perfectly content as the center of attention. Her current foster home has dog siblings, and she seems equally happy either way. Dixie does have a past injury in one rear leg that has caused some lasting mobility limitations, but she still uses the leg and stays active. The possibility of amputation isn’t necessary at this time, and she doesn’t let her leg slow her down or dampen her spirit in the least. Dixie is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and housetrained. She doesn’t need a crate when left alone and has shown she can be trusted in the home. Her adaptability, affection, and playful style make her a fit for a wide range of families. Dixie is being fostered in Afton, TN, but her foster family will personally transport her throughout much of the eastern U.S. for the right home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
