Pantera
AvailablePantera is a 4-year-old, medium-sized domestic short hair cat residing in New Orleans, LA. She is a spayed female and is up to date on vaccinations. Pantera is house trained and gets along with both cats and dogs, making her a welcoming presence for homes with other pets. Her gentle spirit and need for a patient home stand out most.
About Pantera
Pantera is struggling through heartbreak after losing her beloved owner to deportation. She spent her first few weeks at the shelter scared, barely eating, overwhelmed by her sudden change of fortune. Shelter life was simply too much for her, so she was moved into a foster home, which has helped her slowly start to feel safe again. Now, Pantera spends time exploring cozy hiding places, warming herself in sunbeams by the window, and learning to enjoy the small comforts of a home. She finds reassurance from the confident cats in her foster household and would do best with another feline companion to show her the ropes. Transition is hard for Pantera, and she’ll need a patient adoptive family willing to let her set the pace for hugs and affection. She’s been waiting for a home the longest out of all the current residents — since March 31, 2025. Sometimes the animals who wait the longest are the ones who, when they're ready, love the hardest. Pantera’s adoption offers three months of complimentary Revolution preventatives for extra peace of mind. Born April 4th, she’s an Aries: a survivor at heart. Ready to meet your new best friend?
