About Taylor
Taylor is a playful, affectionate domestic short hair who thrives on companionship and attention. Always ready for a round of catnip or chasing wand toys, he enjoys lounging in his round cat bed or settling next to you for pets and lap snuggles. Taylor will follow you around the house, keeping tabs on daily happenings, and welcomes any opportunity to be part of the action. He has a sweet disposition and genuinely likes to be close to his people. Taylor has lived with another FIV+ cat and did well, but he’s stressed by dogs and would do best in a home without them. He prefers multiple uncovered litterboxes placed in quiet, accessible spots—he’s tidy and appreciates calm surroundings. Taylor has tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), which means he should live as an only cat or only with other FIV+ cats. FIV isn’t spread through sharing bowls or grooming, but through deep bite wounds, so it’s important to manage his social contacts accordingly. Taylor can still live a happy, fulfilling life for years. He’s currently enjoying a foster break away from the shelter, learning the comforts of home life as he waits for an adopter.
