About Babe Ruth
Babe Ruth is an extra-large Boxer/American bulldog mix who lives up to his name, tipping the scales at a hefty 98 pounds. At three years old, Babe is fully house and crate trained, neutered, chipped, and his vaccinations are all current—including heartworm and flea prevention. He’s been thriving in his Tomball, Texas foster home since being saved from the BARC euthanasia list in April 2025. This big guy gets along with all people, kids, and the pets in his foster family—he has two canine brothers, a canine sister, and three human brothers who think the world of him. Babe is an alpha male and may do best as either the only dog or with a female companion, since he likes to assert himself around other males. Despite his confidence, Babe’s real gift is how much affection he showers on his family. He loves squeezing onto your lap for hugs, forgetting just how large he really is. Babe has great manners, free roaming the house during the day without making a mess or chewing up anything, and happily settles into his kennel each night. He’s equally welcoming to guests and new faces. If your household is ready for a big, gentle, playful cuddle-bug who has mastered both inside etiquette and affection, Babe Ruth could be the perfect fit. Start your journey together! Apply now.
