Even with these needs, she brings loads of affection and energy to any space lucky enough to have her.

About Mama Mia

Mama Mia is a striking Malinois mix who entered the shelter carrying new life and left it with a story all her own. After giving birth to nine puppies, a health complication meant she couldn't raise them herself, but the pups thrived thanks to the dedication of shelter volunteers and have since found their own homes. Now, it's Mia's time to belong to someone. She is warm-hearted and affectionate, happiest when soaking up attention from people. Playgroups are Mia’s thing—she gets along great with other dogs and has a weakness for toys, even if her excitement can get a little intense at times. Because of her playful energy, she needs a home with kids over 10 who appreciate that enthusiastic spirit. Mama Mia does have a unique twist to her care: she eats upright in a Bailey chair due to her medical condition, and she takes it in stride. Mealtimes are straightforward, and she's cooperative, popping right into her chair when it's food time. Her resilience gives her a gentle presence, and she's ready to fill her new family's life with loyalty, joy, and affection. Her birthday, July 22, makes her a Leo—known for warmth and generosity. She’s waiting in Magnolia, TX, for the right family to step forward. AAR does not transport for adoption. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
