About Bandit

Meet Bandit! Bandit’s story with PJ’s Rescue began as a puppy, and sometimes life comes full circle. He’s back, currently working with Black Onyx Dog Training, getting ready for the right home. Bandit is just shy of a year old and, based on a sibling’s DNA test, he’s a rare mix—Pitty, Staffy, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, and traces of about ten other breeds. He’s clever, lively, and shows deep loyalty to those who build a bond with him. Bandit tends to be a bit shy and reserved when first meeting new people but opens up into an affectionate, devoted dog once trust is built. Training has focused on building his confidence, helping him navigate everyday life with a bit more ease. Bandit’s introductions with other dogs work well when slow and structured, as he can come on strong with energy at first. If boundaries are respected, he does just fine with fellow canines. His ideal adopter will provide structure and consistency—he likes a job to do, not just a comfy spot on the couch. A home without children or only with respectful, dog-savvy kids over age 10 suits him best. The rescue includes his training tools and a starter lesson with adoption so everyone can get off on the right foot. Bandit isn’t after just a place to live; he’s looking for a true partner.
