Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes Good with kids: Yes, dog savvy children Crate trained: Unknown House Trained: Unknown Oscar has the kind of face you'll never forget - those fluffy, expressive “grandpa” eyebrows and his delightfully silly smile make him look like he walked straight out of a storybook. But it's not just his looks that will melt you - his personality is just as charming. After being found tied to a dumpster, matted and painfully thin, Oscar has blossomed into a joyful, affectionate pup who is finally getting his spark back. He lives for playtime (especially a good game of fetch), adores his people, and has the perfect balance of zoomies and snuggly downtime. His typical day? Play, nap, play some more, and then curl up for a well-earned rest—he's an all-around good boy learning how wonderful life can be. He absolutely loves doggie daycare and thrives in a social environment, happily playing with dogs of all sizes (though he gravitates toward the bigger groups for extra fun!). He's done well with every dog he's met and would flourish with a playful dog companion or an active home that can keep him engaged. While he has been around cats in a boarding setting, he hasn't yet lived with one in a home, so slow introductions would be best. Oscar does well with people, but because he can get a little jumpy when he's excited, a home with older kiddos or adults would likely be the best fit. Oscar knows how to sit, shake, and even “smile pretty” (yes, it's as adorable as it sounds!). He keeps his space clean, has had no accidents in boarding, and does well with being crated for a few hours during the day. Like many young, happy dogs, he's still working on manners like keeping all four paws on the floor when greeting people—but he's eager to please and ready to keep learning. With his balance activity level and love for walks, playtime, and social outings, he would thrive in a home that can give him consistency, love, and a bit of structure. This sweet, resilient boy is ready to leave kennel life behind and finally have a home of his own. Could you be the one to give Oscar the fresh start he deserves?
