About Hope

Hope is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix—her DNA shows roots in Shepherd, Husky, and Golden Retriever—who landed with Kind Spirits after surviving a gunshot and pregnancy out on her own. Despite everything, she is gentle and affectionate, greeting people (and other animals) with patience and warmth. She’s crate trained, housebroken, leash trained, and does well in cars. At about 75 lbs, she feels at home with both people and animals, and gets along well with dogs, cats, and even children. Hope has a minor limp from her previous injury, but it doesn’t slow her down much—she still loves to play in the yard or entertain herself with toys. She’s quiet, polite, reliable in the house, and happiest when cuddling on the couch or following you around. Food can be a sensitive issue after her rough start; she prefers her meals undisturbed, but manages well with some awareness. Loud places and big crowds make her nervous, but give her time and patience and she comes around. She’s spayed, healthy, and up to date on vaccinations. Born early February, Hope is an Aquarius—no surprise she’s both independent and loyal. Ready for the soft life, she’s in a Texas foster home but can make her way to you, wherever you are.
