About Tarzan
Tarzan’s story stands out. He spent half a year at a struggling shelter in a small town until a rescue stepped in after hearing about his special needs. At first, Tarzan seemed shut down and uneasy with people. He found comfort only among dogs. After a careful evaluation, it turned out he was simply under-socialized early on, not abused as some feared. He’s now about two and a half, thriving in foster care with six other dogs and a professional dog trainer fostering him. He’s picked up all sorts of tricks and commands, and his confidence around people grows each day. Tarzan is about knee high and keeps a low profile in the house, but his energy and resilience are hard to miss. He must have other dogs in the home—they help him feel secure and happy. If you’re looking for a young, smart, funny, and gentle companion for your own dog pack, Tarzan is ready for a real home. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
