About Mello
Mello is a big-hearted Golden Retriever mix brimming with personality, goofiness, and love. At around 2 years old and weighing about 65 lbs, he came from a chaotic past, so he developed a few bad habits—think leash pulling, jumping up for attention, and collecting household oddities. When he felt threatened or uncertain, he sometimes snapped out of nervousness, but never from aggression. Through it all, Mello kept his loving spirit, enjoying the company of people of all ages, other dogs, and even cats. Recently, Mello completed a professional training program and now shows off polite leash manners, basic obedience skills, and is making great progress on commands like “drop it” and “place.” He’ll thrive with adopters who reinforce these routines and keep him mentally and physically engaged. Mello needs adopters willing to learn from his trainer before adoption and commit to a couple follow-up sessions to help ease his transition. He is neutered, fully vetted, microchipped, and in excellent health. Mello has come a long way and is ready to bond deeply, bring laughter, and join a family ready for his boundless affection. He truly gets along with children, dogs, and cats, making him a great fit for many households. Give this lovable goofball the structure, love, and playtime he deserves, and you’ll have a loyal companion for life. Start your journey together! Apply now.
