About Papa Bear
Papa Bear is the very definition of a mellow, heavyweight companion. Weighing in at 15 pounds, he’s an 8-9 year old Domestic Short Hair who’s swapped the rough life of the streets for the slow-paced routines of retirement. He’s black with a short, rugged coat, big jowls, and carries the kind of scars that show he’s faced life head-on. Now, all Papa Bear wants is to stretch out in a quiet spot and savor his golden years. He’s cool with cats, dogs, and just about anyone—as long as things stay chill. Calm, gentle, and with zero interest in drama, he lets other cats eat first and just wants a soft hand for scritches. Papa Bear is FIV+, but don’t let that intimidate you. It’s only a concern for deeply aggressive animals, and this cat is all about peace. He’s neutered, fully vetted, and recently had successful entropion surgery, so his eyes are comfortable again. He’ll play for a minute but quickly returns to lounging. If you want a low-maintenance, undemanding friend to share slow mornings and lazy afternoons, he’s ready to melt into your hand. Give him his snacks and a spot to loaf, and you’ll have the best cat you’ve ever met. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
