About Melvin
Melvin is a striking adult tabby and white cat with a big personality and a lot to say. If you want constant feline company, Melvin insists on being part of everything—expect him in your lap, by your side, and almost always within petting distance. He doesn't let you forget his presence; if you miss a beat on the attention front, he'll let you know, sometimes loudly. Melvin relishes the spotlight, especially when other cats are involved, but he’s perfectly social with other felines—he just likes to be the favorite. His favorite pastimes include soaking up compliments, basking in the sun, finding the coziest corners, and keeping up a running conversation with anyone who'll listen. He loves catnip toys (catnip pickles are his weakness), never misses treat time, and is always ready for snuggling or play. Melvin is affectionate, playful, and deeply people-oriented—the sort of cat who’ll shadow you around the house just to make sure you’re not having too much fun without him. It’s important to understand Melvin will need patience and a gentle approach as he gets used to a new home—expect a period of hiding, and use food to earn his trust. Once settled, he’s all-in on love and attention. Melvin is neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas, ticks, and parasites, and fully vaccinated. He’ll need an indoor-only home (and as with all cats, no declawing). He can be visited daily from 1–5pm in Faribault, MN. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
