About Skai
Skai is a beautiful 2-year-old Great Pyrenees living in Coarsegold, CA, and she’s hoping to find her forever home soon. Rescued from a shelter, she’s been with her foster family much longer than expected, quietly waiting for the right adopter to come along. Skai weighs about 60 pounds and has a gentle, affectionate nature—she’s happiest simply relaxing near her people and feels right at home as part of the family. She’s house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands like sit and shake. Skai enjoys her daily dog park visits and gets along well with other dogs. She also welcomes men, women, and children with her calm and loving demeanor. Her foster hasn’t seen her around cats, but she hasn’t shown any strong prey drive. Skai is generally quiet, only barking on occasion if she can’t see someone’s face clearly. When she wants attention, she’ll gently nudge you with her paw until you give her the pets she’s after. She’s not driven to chase balls or guard livestock—Skai would much rather spend her time as a devoted companion indoors. While she can be wary of vacuums and brooms, and had some mild food guarding before, her foster has helped her improve. Skai is searching for a home where she’ll continue being treasured for her calm and loving personality. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
