Shenandoah is a 7-week-old hound mix who’s part of the national parks litter and already showing plenty of charm. Playful and social, he enjoys hanging out with other dogs, meeting new people, and exploring the world around him—but he also knows when to relax, happily curling up under a table or flopping down at your feet. Squeaky and crinkle toys are favorites, as are sticks and following you wherever you go. Despite his puppy energy, he has a balanced temperament and will put himself to bed for some downtime. He’s currently working on crate and potty training, and does well on a leash for his age. His estimated adult weight is between 40 and 50 lbs. Shenandoah is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and on monthly preventatives. Adoption requires a commitment to ongoing training and socialization. Spay/neuter will be arranged when he’s old enough and is included in his adoption fee, but adopters must be within reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach to complete the procedure.
