About Dan
Meet Dan, a seven-year-old Chiweenie who proves that great personalities really do come in small, slightly round packages. At about 24 pounds, Dan’s on the heavier side for his size—he wouldn’t mind finding a friend to help him take a few leisurely strolls or swap snack tips. He’s genuinely happiest when curled up next to his favorite person, doing his best impression of a heated blanket with definite opinions about proper napping form. Dan’s past few months have been tough—after his previous owner fell ill, he found himself looking for a new soft spot to land. He gravitates toward the company of fellow little dogs and, when necessary, will tolerate the big ones, but he holds very strong opinions that cats should absolutely keep their distance. Dan’s sweet spot is in homes with older, dog-savvy kids who know when a guy just needs a little space. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, fully house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. Dan’s snuggling skills are top-notch, but he does come with one important warning: his snoring is less "peaceful sighs" and more "power tools on the loose." If you love a loyal companion with a touch of grumpy charm and championship cuddling skills, Dan could be your new favorite. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
