About Duchess
Duchess came to rescue after being found in rough shape alongside a busy highway, thin and clearly having wandered for a while. After a month of care, she’s healthy, happy, and ready to find a real home. Duchess has a sweet nature and quickly wins over everyone she meets. She’s friendly, eager to please, and picks up new things fast. Her striking eyes give her a unique look, and her attitude is all about connection—whether with kids, adults, or other dogs (she gets along with all ages and sizes). Duchess is good with kids as young as 8 and has already handled a family setting with ease. She’s about six months old now, weighs roughly 21 pounds, and is thought to be a Labrador Retriever and Australian Cattle Dog mix, so she’ll likely reach medium size as an adult. Her coat is short and a lovely blend of brown and cream. Duchess is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on preventatives. She’s house trained, comfortable with cats, and truly enjoys being around children and other dogs. Duchess will be arriving in Austin, TX soon and is looking for a family who will give her the home she deserves. Ready to start the next chapter? Click apply to start the adoption process.
