About Gertie

Gertie is a bright, marble-patterned brown tabby kitten from a litter rescued as strays in Staten Island, NY. She and her siblings started life on the run until a kind local brought them to safety. Gertie’s short coat is a swirl of crisp tabby stripes with a little brown nose perfect for smooches. She is one of two sisters, both quick to warm up and turn into bundles of play—chasing wand toys, wrestling, and tumbling with her brother. The siblings gather for naps piled together after full, playful days. Gertie is healthy, energetic, and ready for her next chapter in a loving home. All kittens under six months are adopted in pairs or into homes with another cat or a cat-friendly dog—bonded pairs are not split. Gertie is well-socialized, house trained, and vaccinated, which makes for an easy transition. Meet-and-greets are available by arrangement in foster homes. Ready to fall in love?
