35 lb bonded siblings Nettie and Maxwell were part of a trio who were picked up by animal control in Houston and placed on euthanasia list as they were extremely scared in the pound. The siblings were separately brought to the same foster home and found confidence upon seeing each other and soon we realized how bonded the duo was. Splitting them is out of the question. Maxwell and Nettie love stuffies and are good at sharing, all while playing nicely with other dogs. They love to run around their yard and also love to dig. They are very shy and skittish in the beginning, so they need some patience while they get to know someone. Nettie and Maxwell are good with dogs, live with three other foster doggie siblings, good with cats, and live with 4 kitties, and love them all. They also live with a 2 year old special needs toddler and are very gentle with him. They are crate trained, potty trained and socialized. Due to their playfulness, having a fenced yard is mandatory, so they can exercise. As they are a bonded pair, they can only be adopted as a pair, as they are very dependent on each other for survival. Maxwell especially needs Nettie and is lost without her. Nettie and Maxwell are very affectionate and love their foster mom, who think a world of them. The siblings are 1.5 year old. Nettie, the female weighs about 35 lb each while Maxwell weighs about 40 lb. They are fixed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated pup who are kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.
