Onyx
AvailableOnyx is a 6-year-old female Black Labrador Retriever with a short black coat currently in Columbia, MO. She’s house trained, spayed, and her vaccinations are up to date. Onyx has no special needs. People born on April 25 fall under the Taurus sun sign, known for loyalty and affection—traits she certainly embodies.
About Onyx
Onyx and her sister Ivory lost their longtime home after their dad passed away and their family struggled to care for them. They spent a period living mostly in a cage, getting food but missing out on real interaction. Things finally turned around when they made it to Missouri, received vet care, and Onyx successfully completed heartworm treatment. She is now up to date on her vaccinations and ready for a new start. Onyx is a devoted, affectionate Labrador mix who has a loyal streak once she gets comfortable. She can be shy at first but quickly bonds with her people. She thrives with an active family and adores outdoor adventures—hiking and playing in water are favorites. With proper introductions, she gets along well with other dogs and children of all ages. Onyx walks nicely on leash, listens well, and will hang out by your side in the yard. She is house trained. However, she isn’t a fit for homes with chickens or other small fowl because of her high prey drive and past incidents with escaping fences. She’d love to find a home with her sister, but would also be happy adopted solo. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
