About Carrie
Carrie is around 2 years old and searching for her forever family. She grew up on a former Army base in Anniston, Alabama, alongside her brother before being brought into foster care. Her early days were rough, but a group of kind people earned her trust and helped her and her brother get out of that tough situation. After her brother found his home, Carrie faced a heartworm diagnosis, but she came through treatment like a champ and is now heartworm negative. Carrie stands out with her striking gray and black coat highlighted by a deep stripe running down her back—there’s no one else quite like her. She’s kennel trained and sticks to a consistent routine. When the day begins, she’s quick to let someone know she’s ready to go. She loves walks, being outside, and is always up for a new adventure. Carrie thrives on affection, back rubs, and sharing kisses. With dogs who match her energy, she gets along well, but she’s very curious about cats and small animals, making her a better fit for a household without them. Car rides aren’t her favorite, but she settles in once underway. Bath time is not how she’d choose to spend her time, but she’ll accept a wipe-down with a washcloth. Carrie may come off as shy when first meeting someone, but with a little patience, she reveals a loyal and loving side. Sun sign bonus: Carrie is a determined Taurus—a blend of steadiness and affection. She’s waiting in Fond Du Lac, WI for the right match who will give her the family she deserves.
