About Marco
Marco is a 10-year-old Chihuahua with a gentle, shy nature shaped by his time at the sanctuary. Since his dental procedure, he only has one tooth left, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying life. Marco feels safest when snuggled under a blanket and will blossom with someone who’s patient and kind. As he warms up, he reveals a playful side and loves exploring on walks, sniffing everything he can. He's sometimes hesitant about the leash at first, but gentle handling helps put him at ease. Despite being nervous around loud noises, Marco brings plenty of joy and goofiness once he opens up. He gets along well with other dogs, but not with cats, and would be best suited to a quiet home without children. With consistent love and understanding, Marco will reward his person with loyal companionship and silly zoomies. Ready to help Marco feel safe and happy? Make his next chapter his best one yet.

Questions about Marco
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas like Marco do best in calm, indoor environments where they have a cozy space to feel safe. They're perfect for apartments or smaller homes, as long as there's a quiet corner for them.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Marco doesn’t need a large yard—a small fenced area or daily walks will keep him happy. Chihuahuas are well suited to homes without much outdoor space, but regular walks are important for their health.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can be sensitive and a bit timid like Marco, so they're generally better in homes with older children or adults who understand their boundaries and need for gentleness.
