About Bear
Meet Bear. He absolutely lives up to his name—this Shepherd and Blue Heeler mix is pure teddy bear, just with extra bounce in his paws. The biggest of his litter, he starts his day with an early pep rally, wanting breakfast and playtime as soon as the sun’s up. Bear loves sticking close to his people, following them around like their number one fan, and he’s quickly mastered the dog door and stairs with puppy determination. He’s food obsessed and smart, so training him using treats pays off fast. Bear is still in his puppy phase, thinking toes and pant legs are irresistible chew toys, but he can be redirected with a proper toy and some patience. He’s not shy about protesting the exercise pen, although with enough activity, he’ll settle in and relax once his wiggles are out. Bear gets along great with cats, dogs, and children—he’s equal parts playful, affectionate, and goofy. With the right mix of training and plenty of chew toys, he’ll grow into a loyal companion anyone would be lucky to have. Fun fact: Bear’s birthday makes him a Pisces—no surprise he’s so loyal and affectionate. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
