About Whiskers
Whiskers is a neutered male, about a year and a half old, and he’s got a thunderous purr. People are his thing—when he was confined in quarantine, passing by his kennel meant a gentle paw reaching out for your attention. He’s the laid-back type, content to perch in a window, sprawl on your lap, or just lounge wherever he sees fit. Give him a string toy or a laser pointer and he’s in heaven, but he’s just as happy relaxing next to you. He wears a fluffy gray and white long coat and needs an adopter who will brush him daily—he’s not one for grooming himself thoroughly. Whiskers is fine living with other cats once he’s had a chance to settle in. A little grumbling at first, but he warms up and will cuddle with his feline buddies once comfortable. Dogs are new ground. He’s curious from afar, but hasn’t had direct time with them yet. Based on his easygoing nature, he’d probably adapt well. He hasn’t mingled with kids yet, but nothing in his temperament says he wouldn’t fit in with a family. Whiskers is FIV-positive, so he requires a bit more attention with vet checks and dental care, and he’s more prone to certain infections, but he’s currently healthy and feeling good. He’s been fully vetted and vaccinated, and his adoption fee is sponsored. You’ll find him relaxing at the Pawsitive Cat Cafe in Penfield, NY. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
