About Star
Meet Star! Star is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a heart every bit as big as her personality. Star has endured more than most dogs—she was shot and the bullet passed through her jaw and ear, leading to surgery that left her tongue permanently lolling out. Despite it all, she’s full of resilience and sweetness. Star is deeply affectionate and happy-natured. She’s ready to play, run, and explore when the mood hits, but she settles in easily for snuggles and downtime. Car rides are a favorite, and she’d love to tag along as your adventure buddy. She already knows "sit" and has mastered the doggie door, showing off her intelligence. Star is spayed and fully vaccinated, just waiting for a family to see her for the terrific, unique soul she is. She gets along with dogs and children but isn’t compatible with cats. If you want a special dog with a big heart, Star could be the one. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
