About Tatum

Tatum is a tiny terrier mix bursting with personality and a love for everyone she meets. At around 2 years old and a compact 25 pounds, she’s already faced more challenges than most dogs ever will, but it hasn’t tarnished her spirit or her joy. Tatum was returned to rescue after her original adoption, and it was discovered she’d suffered a spinal injury that left her incontinent. The cause remains a mystery, but specialists have confirmed it’s a permanent condition and her new family will need to help express her bladder throughout the day—she’s a rock star about wearing her diaper at night and tolerates her care without complaint. Despite this, Tatum doesn’t let her disability slow her down for a second. Her funny gait just adds to her charm as she races around the yard, always up for a car ride, walk, or wrestling match with canine friends. She absolutely loves people and makes you feel seen by tilting her head and gazing at you like you’re the only person in the world. Her resilience and natural sweetness are impossible to ignore, and she’s a joy to have around. Tatum gets along well with other dogs and children, though she’s not suited for homes with cats. She needs someone who can look past her special needs and see the affectionate, goofy, and fiercely loving girl beneath. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being willing to give her the happy ending she deserves. Click apply to start the adoption process.
