About Ralphie
Ralphie is a 9-month-old Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix who’s already making progress as a smart, quick-learning puppy. He's returned to the rescue after being adopted and started showing herding and resource guarding behaviors, so an experienced adopter is necessary to help him work through these stages. Ralphie’s playful side shines through in his gentle, silly ways, especially his habit of grabbing passing feet—a quirk that fosterers say he’ll likely outgrow. He’s potty trained, knows to sit, and is learning to settle in his crate overnight. Around other dogs, Ralphie is social and easygoing. He’s especially patient and gentle with young kids, doing great with the foster’s 4-year-old. He’s happiest outside, thriving on walks and hikes, and shows curiosity about everyone he meets. While Ralphie can be protective of his favorite spots, understanding that helps him relax and show his affection. He’s looking for a home where he can keep growing—ideally with older kids and someone ready to commit to his ongoing training. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
