Druid is a fun-loving, energetic boy who is always ready to make the most out of every moment! Found roaming as a stray, he hasn't let his past slow him down-this guy greets the world with excitement, curiosity, and a whole lot of wiggles. He can be a bit wiggly and eager when it's time to leash up (he's just so excited to get going!), but once he's out and about, he's ready to explore and enjoy his time with his people. Out in the yard, Druid's personality really shines. He's loose, wiggly, and loves to check in with his handlers, leaning in for pets and soaking up affection. He's also a total goofball-rolling around on the turf and showing off his signature "beetle dance" moves. He's very treat motivated and eager to learn, though he can be a little enthusiastic when taking treats, so tossing them is a great way to keep things smooth and fun. Druid enjoys being active and has shown interest in other dogs, often getting excited to say hello and engage in playful, rowdy interactions. He'll do best with someone who can help guide his energy and continue working on his manners, especially on leash and during exciting moments. He's a smart, engaged dog who responds well to redirection and is already showing he can settle when given a little structure. Overall, Druid is a happy, affectionate pup looking for an active home that will embrace his playful spirit and help him continue to grow. If you're looking for a lively companion who will keep you smiling and moving, Druid might just be your perfect match! He was a little tricky to leash because he was super excited and was moving around so much that he was accidentally dodging the leash. Once leashed, he pulled on leash through kennel and tried to eat every treat he found. Outside he immediately went to the bathroom. We brought him into a play yard, and he was loose and wiggly, frequently checking in with his handlers and was very treat motivated and would sit for treats. I recommend tossing treats because he can be a bit snatchy. He also leaned against me and allowed all over petting. He then rolled around on the turf and did some beetle dancing. He was easy to return to kennel. Per staff 5/4/26: Druid was stressed when returning to his kennel after his day trip. He still had his gear on which I planned to swap out for a lead before encouraging him into the kennel. However, he started jumping backwards and vocalizing with his mouth remaining open so it didn't feel like the best moment to take off his harness, day trip vest, and leash. Instead, I walked him back to the foster office so he could be undressed in a calmer environment. He was still stressed and seemed like he wanted to mouth a few times but never made contact and instead would slide his head to the floor and lean into a submissive position on his side or back. He allowed me to get everything off and put a lead on. I also learned he's very treat motivated and can be a little snatchy but will sit patiently. He walked back through the kennels fine and went into the kennel right away when I threw some treats in. I used the clip method and had no issues getting the leash off. The day trip foster noted he was very excited to see other dogs. We had to pass two dogs on our way to the foster office and he did pull and started whining/barking but was easily redirected down another hallway. Druid had also chewed more than half way through his leash on the day trip while the foster was distracted. Playgroup 5/2: Spray bottle 3/5, shake can 3/5. Fast entry, aroused greets with Rascal. He and Rascal throughout vascillated between trying to mount each other / engaging in shuffling/dancing/rough-rowdy play.
