About Rivvie

Rivvie’s start was wild—she came from a foxhole and had never met a person until rescue. Now in San Diego, CA, she’s starting to flourish. Rivvie is a Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix, expected to reach about 45 pounds with a short, bicolor coat. She’s playful, always up for toys or wrestling with her sibling, and takes delight in any yard exploration. Intelligence and curiosity run strong in her, whether she’s sniffing around or hiding in the plants. Rivvie’s still learning what living in a house means and is pee pad trained, making great strides but sometimes gets nervous and will dash away if startled. Social and gentle, she’s affectionate with people but needs patience as she continues to gain confidence. She enjoys being part of the action but values her independence, balancing the two easily. Because she spent so much time as a stray, a calm and understanding family—ideally with a yard and another dog—will help her grow into her best self. She gets along with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a natural fit in many homes. With continued patience, Rivvie will become a loving, loyal companion who brings plenty of playful energy and heart. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
