About Jorge Rogelio Vicente Cortez
Jorge Rogelio Vicente Cortez the 3rd, or just Jorge, packs a lot of heart and personality into his 50lb lab-hound mix frame. He started out with a rough road in Ensenada but landed safely in Tijuana, where his affectionate, kiss-happy nature quickly won everyone over. His foster homes have helped him come into his own—he’s patient, gentle, and has a clear preference for lazy days and fun, structured pack walks around the neighborhood. His crate is a sanctuary, and you’ll notice he’s fully house and crate trained. A sensitive soul, Jorge may startle at sudden movement but relaxes quickly with calm, steady reassurance. Jorge thrives best in a quiet, consistent home, and he’s happiest when his people are close by. He’s eager to bond and will stick like glue to his new family. He gets along well with other friendly dogs, especially after a gentle introduction, and does well with older kids. He hasn’t met cats yet. Jorge will do best with a fenced yard and a patient family willing to keep building his confidence. Car rides, sunshine, and cuddles make him happiest, and he’s ready to add warmth and joy to his person’s life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Jorge Rogelio Vicente Cortez
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Jorge’s Rhodesian Ridgeback and Black Mouth Cur background means he adapts well to homes that provide structure, calm, and a bit of space. He’ll appreciate a calm house and a securely fenced yard where he feels safe.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Both Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Black Mouth Curs are active breeds, so Jorge will benefit from regular access to a fenced yard or reliable walking routes. He’ll enjoy sunbathing and stretching his legs but doesn’t require acres of land.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Jorge gets along with older children, and his breed mix can be gentle and playful with kids when introduced appropriately. Given his slight sensitivity to sudden movement, a home with respectful, older children is ideal.
