Dakota is just over a year old and weighs about 50 pounds — a great medium-sized pup with a playful spirit and an easygoing nature. Dakota has left the tiny-puppy energy behind but still has all the joy, curiosity, and enthusiasm that make young dogs so much fun. She's sweet, friendly, and easy to be around — the kind of dog who can join you for an adventure or simply relax nearby while you go about your day. Her story began in an Alabama shelter, where she arrived as an older puppy. Fortunately, one of our rescue partners saw her potential and welcomed her into foster care. Since then, Dakota has settled nicely into her temporary home. She currently lives with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around. She loves to play, but she's not a dog who needs constant activity or endless exercise to be happy. A little fun, some time outdoors, and hanging out with her people suit her just fine. Dakota is healthy, affectionate, and wonderfully uncomplicated.
