About Jj

***AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS ONLY*** There are some dogs you meet... and then there are dogs that feel like something deeper. JJ is one of those. From the moment he came into our home, it was clear-this boy is on a mission to love and be loved. The best way I can describe him is this: JJ loves with his whole heart. While there may still be moments when he's learning to trust that he's safe, once he knows he's loved, he throws himself into life and relationships with everything he's got. He leans in. He melts into you. He doesn't just sit beside you-he presses into you like he's trying to get as close to your heart as physically possible. JJ LOVES touch. He will gently place his head right into the palm of your hand and rest there completely surrendered. And if you let him, he'll put his full weight into you as if he's saying, "Please don't let go." There is something so pure and precious about him. You can feel it instantly. But don't let his snuggly side fool you-once JJ gets comfortable, his playful personality absolutely explodes! This boy LOVES to zoom. He loves toys. He loves treats. He loves wrestling, chasing, and playing with his foster dog brothers. Watching him run around the yard with pure joy is one of our favorite things. In fact, JJ is so playful that any future dog siblings should enjoy playing too. He would thrive with another dog who appreciates his energetic, fun-loving spirit. A more reserved dog may find his enthusiasm a little overwhelming, but for the right canine companion, JJ is an absolute blast. JJ is smart and eager to learn. He responds quickly to his name and does very well with gentle correction and consistent guidance. He wants to please and catches on quickly. Like many dogs who haven't always felt secure, there are still a few situations where JJ needs a little extra reassurance. Bath time and putting on a harness can make him nervous at first. But once he realizes he's safe and nothing scary is happening, he's ready to go and handles it just fine. Cats are probably not the best fit for JJ. His curiosity gets the better of him, and he becomes very focused on them, often barking because he simply can't figure them out. At the end of the day, after all the zoomies, toys, adventures, and playtime, JJ's favorite place is right beside his person. He sleeps beautifully through the night, but he would strongly prefer that bedtime includes snuggling in bed with the humans he loves. The best way to describe JJ is this: he's off-the-charts energetic and off-the-charts lovable. He brings joy wherever he goes and has a way of making people feel deeply loved. Whoever welcomes JJ into their life won't just be getting a dog-they'll be gaining a best friend, a cuddle expert, a playmate, a shadow, and a heart that loves without holding back.
