Lilly
AvailableLilly is a 12-year-old female Labrador Retriever living in Sarasota, FL. She is large, with a yellow coat. Lilly is spayed and house trained. Her vaccinations are up to date, and she has had senior bloodwork. Though she is mostly healthy for a senior, she does manage some age-related urine incontinence, which is controlled with medication and care. Lilly gets along well with dogs and cats, making her a wonderful companion in a multi-pet home.
About Lilly
Lilly’s story is tough. She lost her home and her person all at once—not by choice, but by circumstance. She was found by police waiting loyally by her owner, with nobody to come for her. The stress and confusion hit hard, but, even after landing in a shelter at this age, Lilly never lost her gentle and loving spirit. She greets every person, every dog, and every cat with a soft warmth that stands out, no matter how much her world has changed. She’s 12, full of classic Labrador sweetness, and weighs in at about 78lbs. As a senior, she deals with the usual old girl troubles: her biggest challenge is urine incontinence. She’s on daily Proin, wears a diaper, and needs someone around enough to help her stay clean and dry. Lilly uses the bathroom outside, but leaks sometimes. Her foster family cares for her, but work hours mean she could use a quieter, more present household—someone with extra patience and a little extra time. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and has had her senior bloodwork done. Lilly is already house trained and just wants a place to land with kindness and comfort for her final chapter. She deserves it. Fun fact: Lilly’s March 31 birthday makes her an Aries—born for resilience and quiet strength. Give her the ending she should have had. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
