Bailey is a small girl with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life! This active, affectionate pup is always on the move-if Bailey is going somewhere, she's probably running there. She loves toys of all kinds, especially plush toys with squeakers. She tries her best to keep them intact, but every now and then the temptation to investigate the stuffing is just too much! She also enjoys settling down with a good chew bone. Bailey is a smart girl who has learned how to manage her excitement. When playtime gets a little overwhelming, she'll often grab a toy and carry it around to help herself stay focused instead of getting too rowdy with her dog friends. It's one of her many charming quirks! When Bailey first arrived, the world felt like a scary place. Since then, she's blossomed into a much more confident adventurer. She's been on hikes, visited the beach, and explored pet stores. The beach was a huge hit-she even ventured into the water! Busy crowds can still be overwhelming for her, so pet stores aren't her favorite destination, but she continues to make progress. Bailey rides well in the car, although she gets very excited when it's time to get in or out. She currently uses a dog seatbelt because she's convinced every open car door is an invitation for an immediate adventure. Bailey is crate trained and does very well with her routine. She happily eats her meals in her crate and relaxes there whenever she isn't being supervised. Bailey is looking for a home without cats, as she has a high prey drive. She would also do best with one or two canine companions. She gets along well with male dogs and submissive females, but she insists on being the only bossy girl in the household! Most of all, Bailey is a loving, cuddly companion who enjoys being close to her people. She has met many new people since coming into foster care and has handled those introductions wonderfully. Bailey loves a good dress up session. New sweaters in the winter and a new collar are top of her favorite things. With the right mix of adventure, structure, and dog friends, Bailey will make a loyal, entertaining, and affectionate addition to a lucky family.
