About Eleanor
Eleanor is a 5-6 year old black lab mix who survived a tough start in the desert after a car accident left her with a dislocated hip. Brought to safety and given the care she needed, Eleanor underwent FHO surgery, which gave her a new outlook and helped her leave her painful days behind. At about 45 lbs, she’s a medium-sized, short-coated dog and is both spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. These days, Eleanor, or Ellie as her foster calls her, soaks up home life. She gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids—she even plays kitten mom with her foster’s cats. While she’s quiet and gentle, she still loves to roll around in the grass, plop onto the couch next to you, and join teens for a bit of attention. Eleanor’s confidence continues to grow, but she would do best with someone experienced, in a calm, stable home where she’s not left for long stretches. She is crate trained and appreciates a gentle, heart-centered household over a busy, loud one. Her ideal adopter will keep building on her progress and offer her lots of time and affection. At her foster home in Queen Creek, AZ, meetings are by appointment. Make this resilient, loving pup part of your family—she’s ready for her fresh start. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
