About Spike

Spike is a lanky, laid-back 7-month-old with striking orange-tipped ears and tail. He fits right into a home with other cats and even big dogs, joining in any game or chasing after toys with gusto. For new people, Spike takes a little patience—he's slow to open up due to his past, but once he’s decided to trust you, he’s all in for affection and pets. Spike’s ideal spot is a calm home with adults or older kids who can give him space and time to settle. He needs at least one other cat around for company and play (or consider adopting one or both of his siblings, Buffy and Xander—they’re ready, too). Watching him dash after friends and then curl up in a sunbeam is pure satisfaction. A safe, secure yard would give Spike a chance to explore grass and chase bugs once he’s fully at home. He’s currently in Anchorage, AK. Click apply to start the adoption process.
