About Altuve
Altuve is a one-year-old, medium-sized pup whose short legs and big personality make him instantly memorable. Likely a blend of Pit Bull Terrier, Husky, and Corgi, he’s got a distinct look and a spirited, fun-loving attitude. Altuve is bright, loyal, and endlessly sweet—he likes people most of all and wants to be involved in daily life, whether that’s joining for car rides, lounging at pet-friendly restaurants, learning new tricks, or soaking up attention wherever he goes. He’s playful and full of energy, happiest sprinting through the yard with dog friends or chasing after a favorite toy, but he always finds time to snuggle up with his furry siblings for a nap. Altuve is already house trained and walks well on a leash. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and children and fits in anywhere there’s space for him to share his affection. Rescued from a dangerous stretch of Houston highway, Altuve faced heartworm but came through with treatment, and now with a clean bill of health (including being neutered and fully vaccinated), he’s ready for his forever home. Altuve thrives in an active, loving household—ideally with other pets—and is eager to find a family who wants to include him in all the best moments. If you’re searching for a dog who will match your pace and add joy to every day, Altuve is ready to meet you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
