AvailableAbout Rosita
Hi I'm Rosita, a 2yearold, 20pound Spitz with a name that means little rose; which fits because I open up slowly but turn into something lovely once I trust you. I'm softspoken and prefer to take in my surroundings before stepping forward. Calm voices and kind women make me feel especially safe and I'm still learning how to understand the menfolk. As for walking on a leash... let's just say I move like someone trying to avoid sidewalk cracks for good luck. I'm working on it, I promise. Favorite Things: Rosita has a selective palate and enjoys life's softer moments. Toys don't hold her attention, but grilled chicken certainly does: she brightens the moment she realizes it's coming. She appreciates peaceful company, cozy places to rest and a steady flow to her day. Training and Manners: Rosita has a solid foundation of basic skills. She is house trained when given regular outdoor breaks, settles easily in either a human bed or her own and rides quietly in the car. Her leash style still has a bit of personality, but with consistency she'll develop a smoother stride. Once she feels at ease, she responds thoughtfully and shows a steady, growing confidence. Health and Care: Rosita is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Like all dogs, she'll need monthly heart worm and flea and tick prevention. Routine baths, brushing and nail care keep her comfortable and looking her best. Other Animals: Rosita does well with small, easygoing dogs who respect her pace. She hasn't met cats yet, though her temperament suggests she could adjust. She'd also be perfectly happy as the only pet. Children: She'd do well in a home with older children (10+) who move calmly and give her time to settle in. Ideal Home: Rosita would be fine in an apartment, condo or townhome. A quiet household with predictable routines will help her continue to grow. She bonds closely with women and can learn to trust men who approach her with patience. A relaxed environment where she can observe and reveal her sweet nature at her own pace would be ideal. Overall: Rosita is a softhearted little rose; reserved at first but full of warmth once she feels secure. She's calm, thoughtful and ready to blossom in a home that appreciates her gentle spirit.
