About Mookie

Meet Mookie, a 90-pound cuddle bug with a giant heart and an even bigger love for his people. This handsome Great Dane/Pittie mix is just under 2 years old and still has some goofy puppy energy, but he's also incredibly sweet, gentle, and eager to please. Don't let his size fool you, Mookie is a docile boy who walks nicely on leash, gets along well with other dogs, and would much rather be snuggled up next to you than causing trouble. Mookie adjusted quickly to foster life and has shown himself to be a loving companion who thrives when his humans are nearby. He can be vocal when left alone and would do best in a home without shared walls, preferably with people who are home often or another dog to keep him company. He's happiest sleeping as close to you as possible and carrying around a tennis ball that hilariously hangs halfway out of his mouth. This sweet boy loves stuffed toys, rope toys, treats, and mealtime most of all. He needs moderate exercise, a daily walk and some yard time keep him happy, especially with a little mental stimulation mixed in. Mookie may look intimidating at first glance, but he's truly a soft-hearted velcro dog looking for a family to love him as much as he'll love them.
