About Nellie
Meet Nellie! She and her siblings were pulled from a deep storm drain when they were about six weeks old, just ahead of heavy storms. Since then, they've been learning what it means to be safe and comfortable indoors. Nellie is sweet and a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she turns on the purrs and soaks in every pet she can get. She’s got a nurturing streak—often seen caring for her siblings—and likes a mix of playtime, long naps, and snacks. Nellie must be adopted with her sister Sadie; the two are closely bonded and truly bring out the best in each other. Applicants should live within practical driving distance of Bethel, CT (including PA, NY, MA, NJ, MD). Though Nellie is fostered in South Carolina, monthly transport is available and often direct to your door. The rescue does not adopt kittens to homes without at least one other cat, unless noted otherwise. Nellie will go home spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
