About Pecan

Pecan's foster mom says:

"Pecan is a tiny survivor with a huge personality. He was found all alone at just 2½ weeks old, severely underweight and in need of help, but he quickly proved he was tougher than he looked! After joining his foster litter, he appointed himself the adoptive big brother, and ever since he's been keeping everyone on their toes.

This little guy is pure chaos in the best possible way. Pecan is super playful, always zooming around looking for his next target, and he makes the cutest chirping noises instead of regular meows. He's what his foster calls the "wild child," and he absolutely lives up to the title.

While Pecan isn't a fan of being held (yet) and prefers to be on the move, he absolutely loves his people. Once he trusts you, he becomes incredibly affectionate in his own funny way and melts into loud purrs for scratches (especially tummy rubs.) He can be nervous at first in response to big changes, but when his personality starts to shine, he is endlessly entertaining and guaranteed to keep you laughing.

Pecan would love a home with another playful cat, especially his foster brother Rhubarb, who he grew up alongside. I think they'd really help bring out confidence in the other if they went together. He's litterbox trained, loves kibble, and ready to bring nonstop fun and personality to his forever family!"

Pecan is living in his foster home and will be ready to go home with you on June 4th. For more information or to meet him, please email catfoster@kcpetproject.org today!

And don't forget to ask about Rhubarb, too!

Did you know kittens do better together? It's true! When kittens are raised together, they play, cuddle and learn together. They look out for each other, and keep each other company while you are away. This makes taking care of them much easier for you, and results in happier, better adjusted cats with fewer behavior concerns overall. Plus, there's twice as much love and fun waiting for you when you come home! If you have no other cats in your home, or even if you do, please consider taking home more than one kitten. You'll be glad you did! ...
