Meet Zeke — Ready for a Fresh Start This little one comes to us as an owner surrender, after Zeke’s human was no longer able to provide the care they knew he deserved. Trying to help him escape a bad situation, they brought Zeke into their home — but soon found themselves needing help too. Although they only had him for six months, they cared enough to make sure he would be safe and given the chance at a better life. While we don’t know much about his previous life, here is what we do know: • Zeke has not yet mastered house training and is not crate trained. • He has previously been around other dogs, cats, and children, and reportedly did great with all. • He is still uncertain about walking on a leash and may try to escape if he feels unsure. • Zeke is a little nervous, but he is a genuinely sweet little one who is ready for the chance to become a loyal, loving family member. He just needs the chance to open up and feel safe. Not knowing what he may have experienced before, patience, consistency, grace, and allowing him to move at his own pace will be key to his success. If you can provide these things, combined with love and lifelong stability, Zeke deserves the opportunity to become part of your life. We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for everyone. All of our adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters will need to establish veterinarian care upon adoption to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. Please bring a leash and collar to take your new family member home, or you can purchase a combo from us for $15.
