You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Milo! Milo is a handsome, four-year-old, Chihuahua/Schnauzer mix. We know this is his mix because he was owner surrendered to us after several incidents with children in his former home. Milo definitely does not appreciate the energy, noise and invasiveness of children. When he gets stressed out, he will bite. Because Milo came to us with a bite history, we sent him on to Camp Merricks to be evaluated and get some behavior adjustment. He was a bit nippy when he first got to Camp, but has calmed down significantly and is being a very good boy. He loves his crate and readily goes into it for safe space. We highly recommend whoever adopts this boy have a nice, cozy crate for him. He seeks out attention and wants to be petted, and likes toys. Milo's perfect home will be fairly quiet, without a lot of people coming and going all the time. He doesn't mind meeting new people, as long as they give him space and let him decide he is ready to meet. Definitely no kids though, since Milo's history with children is not good. Milo is very good with dogs of all sizes. He loves to play and has appropriate canine communication skills. He runs around in the large yards at Camp exploring and playing. If you have another dog, we will require a meet and greet with that dog at Camp.
