About Springer

Springer is a 12-pound Cairn terrier who looks less like a dog and more like a teddy bear that accidentally gained consciousness and wandered off to start a new life. With his scruffy little face and soft expression, he has mastered the art of looking permanently concerned and impossibly adorable at the exact same time. Estimated to be around 3 years old, Springer is sweet, social, and still figuring some things out as he goes. He wants very much to be part of the action, but occasionally approaches new experiences like someone who forgot to read the instructions beforehand. It’s honestly endearing. One of Springer’s current educational pursuits is leash walking. Right now, he treats the leash less like a normal dog accessory and more like a mildly confusing social experiment. Some days he springs forward confidently like a tiny explorer. Other days he pauses dramatically to reconsider the entire concept of movement. Growth is not linear. The important thing is that Springer is trying, and he does so with the soft-hearted optimism of a little guy who genuinely wants to connect with people. He’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest when he feels safe and included. Once he settles in, his personality starts peeking through in the loveliest ways—curious looks, happy little trots, and the occasional burst of terrier enthusiasm that reminds you there is, in fact, a real dog underneath all that stuffed-animal fluff. And truly, the teddy bear resemblance cannot be overstated. Springer looks like the prize you’d win at a carnival game if the carnival was run entirely by grandmothers and woodland creatures. Springer is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and negative for heartworm and tick disease on his 4DX test. Healthy, handsome, and currently accepting applications for someone willing to help him continue mastering the mysterious art of leash physics. If your ideal companion is part scruffy gentleman, part emotional support plushie, and part tiny student of life, Springer is ready to bounce gently into your heart. Want to meet him?
