Peanut is a long-haired beauty whose smooshy face makes her look like she may be part Persian. Peanut is very overweight and needs an adopter who is committed to helping her lose weight. Fat cats may be cute, but obesity is a very serious health concern for cats that puts them at risk of many significant issues. She has had bloodwork done to ensure that she does not have diabetes or other health issues and her bloodwork came back with no concerns. In her previous home, she was afraid of the family dog so was mostly kept in her human's bedroom. She needs space to roam and get exercise. She would do best in a calm, quiet home with either no pets or one or two calm, mellow dogs or cats. A slow introduction to other household pets will be crucial for her success in a home with pets. Peanut is a pretty laid-back cat but also needs opportunities for play and exploration that she missed out on while being cooped up. She is affectionate and friendly and loves pets and attention, but is not needy or demanding.
