About Leo
Leo is a small Maltese with a calm, gentle spirit, content to be close to his people but happy to find a quiet spot on his own when he needs space. He thrives on cuddles—he'll curl up in your arms or lean against you for comfort. Leo also enjoys curling up by a window, crate, or corner, soaking up the day. He's adapted well to crates, sleeping through the night peacefully, and is becoming comfortable with car rides. Potty training is a work in progress, but he's learning with steady patience. While a bit hesitant on leash, given time Leo slowly finds his confidence. He gets along well with other dogs but prefers mellow company and often keeps to himself. With new people, Leo is friendly and receptive, but around young children, he may become sensitive or vocal and prefers a calm environment. He’ll also bark or react when uncomfortable during grooming or medication. Leo’s the kind of companion who communicates his boundaries clearly and needs someone supportive, patient, and gentle to help him feel secure.
